Birthday in Paris

This year for my birthday, it was extra special. Not only I had a mini surprise get-together on the eve of my birthday, my surprise birthday gift from my amazing and thoughtful boyfriend was a 4-day trip to Paris! I felt like the luckiest girl in the world. 

The moment I saw my breath made contact with the Parisian air, it was love at first sight. My whole face lit up with excitement. Minus the fact it was tremendously cold that day, it was the last thing that was on mind. All I wanted to do was walk around and take in everything Paris had to offer.  Every corner I viewed was better than the last one. I was in absolutely in awe. What made it even extraordinary was being able to share it with my love, in one of the most romantic cities in the world.

Oscar de la Renta (1932-2014)

Oscar de la Renta a fashion legend, an idol, a man that you can look up to and aspire to be even a third of who he was and what he created.. He was one of seven children born in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and created an empire out of nothing from humble beginnings. De la Renta designed haute couture in Paris and proved that with hard work, patience and a little luck you can achieve anything in life especially for aspiring fashion designers (like #twoshells!) He was known for his suave and for his elegant taste when dressing the most famous and distinguished women in society. Always the optimist, he will truly be missed. 

But his legend lives on in the impact he made for fashion history.

Vanity Fair: Jennifer Lawerence

Loving Jennifer Lawerence's new Vanity Fair spread in the November Issue. This photoshoot displays so much beauty and courageousness! The outfits and styling are amazing, especially the Donna Karen dress pictured in the pool! It screams I'M FIERCE! With everything going on around with the subject of her nude photos, this photo spread shows just how she is able to overcome those negative comments. How she is just not giving two sh*ts about what other people think about her! This why we commend her for her bravery and strong will power! 

Can't wait to watch her in the next Hunger Games movie!

Giambattista Valli | Spring Summer 2015 Full Fashion Show

Paris fashion week was filled with beautiful and exciting collections and Giambattista Valli's spring summer runway for 2015 had to be one of our favourites. It combined all of our must haves for this upcoming spring/summer season the soft colours, the floral prints, embroidery and linear but soft lines. All the pieces were feminine elegant and classic with a modern flare. We can just picture our selves strutting down the cobble stone walk ways of Taormina while stopping at a cafe over looking the beautiful Mediterranean sea as we sip wine in one of these enchanting ensembles. Very inspiring and something to look forward to as we vastly approach this upcoming winter.
